Check the earth from the starter motor to the chassis. After stripping the wire and cleaning the chassis connector it solved my problem. Also added earth from gearbox to chassis.

Think I've found my new MOT tester. £35 and no re-test fee. It failed on front brakes £12 and front light due to deteriorating chrome £20 and he adjusted the lights for me. Total cost £67 and open on a Sunday!

Seems mine is a weirdo!! and an auto! everything is connected to the EDC including the dashboard instrumentation!

Now follow the plot! Car cuts out and no fuel going to injectors (300TDi) Found 20A fuse blown labelled fuel injectors. Book says "to engine load control relay" replaced relay but it's even blowing 30A fuse mine is the one with the electronic box I assume it is a loose wire going to earth ...
