90 Drum brake cylinder replacement
While faffing around the fuel tank, I noticed brake fluid on the rear wheel. I've already replaced the brake cylinder seals but it still seems to be leaking so I guess it's time to replace the entire cylinder. Are the non-genuine ones worth it? They are around 10 quid while genuine ones seem to be Â...

Leaking diesel tank
The tank on my 90 is leaking diesel when I fill it over half way. I'm guessing there is a leak from the seam round the middle.
Is it possible to seal leaks like this or is it only really sensible to replace the tank?
If sealing is OK, any recommendations on what to use?

I also had a lightweight similar to the one on ebay. 2.5TD engine. Mine had overdrive and 4.1 ratio diffs and flew on road. I never really tried it off road but it had all the 'problems' of a series vehicle - leaf springs giving a hard ride, no power steering, drum brakes that are useless after a bi...

I have one you can borrow but be prepared for what it will uncover. Thanks Bo, I may well take you up on that. Not wishing to be the harbinger of doom but for everything you can see, the chances are there will be at least three times more once you finish cleaning it up. If it has gone on the inside...

Well, checking around on other forums and Bo's response had confirmed that I hadn't got enough oil in there but the stick was showing full. The dipstick length is 465mm from tip to the bottom of the bell shaped cover. The tube is 225mm from the top of the nut on the engine to the top of the tube. Th...

Just checked again and it's just over the high mark. The dipstick is buried under the turbo hose, so much so that you have to distort the hose to get it past. Is that usual? or has someone fitted a different dipstick tube in the past? The oil I drained out was only about 4-5 litres too and had been ...

Oil quantity
Just changed the engine oil on my 200tdi plus the filter. The haynes book of lies says it needs 6.85 litres for this. I only put 4 and a bit in and it's up to the level, even after running the engine to fill the filter.
Is the haynes wrong?

Bulkhead repair
So, with one problem solved, it's time to attack the next one. The bulkhead needs repairing on both sides, so I'm planning to take some time out and try to get this done early Nov. I can order the repair panels OK, but need to patch up the insides at the top too. Any suggestions or advice form those...
