They are the UK distributors for Marix. If you find them any cheaper give them a ring and they'll price match.

I assumed he thought it was an insult to hide that beautiful paint colour inside the cab ? It's white inside... or is that what you mean Mr White? By the way - does anyone know what that stuff is like in a fire? I am starting to worry now that I thought of that... You're the one that said it was an...

Tsk... I THINK it was called Warwick Green and was only available for a couple of years (79-81). It was called other things too but most of those names weren't particularly complimentary. I don't think it was a particularly common/popular colour, which to my mind makes it more appealing than the ubi...

You probably have too much oil in it. The seal between the drum and the housing is pretty ineffective and I suspect it's for that reason that the Warn recommended oil quantity takes it to a point just below the drum. There is a big O ring on the end of the drum but it's more to keep mud out than oil...

It should be fine straight onto the galvanising. Later Defenders (TD5 onward) do away with the use of earth points near the lights altogether. Instead the earths are run back through the harness to a central earth on the front of the bulkhead. (Which I then run a direct cable to the battery from too...

Would I be correct in assuming the alarm is armed at the moment ? If the alarm is on you can't re-sync the fob, you'll need to use the emergency access code to disarm it. With the alarm disarmed, the book of words says... The handset signals must be synchronized to the CCU. The synchronization will ...

I had some on my series motor years ago. From what i remember they were cheap and lasted forever... mainly because the compound they used was so hard the road would wear out quicker than the tyre. The downside of that was that they were completely lethal if the road wasn't hot enough for the asphalt...

I could be wrong but I vaguely remember that the ABS ECU was under the passenger seat when fitted. Does it have ABS ? The transmission overheat may just be the temperature switch. I can't remember if it comes on due to an open circuit or a short circuit - if the former it could just be a bad connect...

If you're after remoulds, I've gone for the Marix ones on mine after my Colway/Greenway Machos finally bit the dust. The two mud patterns are the Puma and the Lion. Lion is a Simex copy, Puma are the ones I have which are the directional diamond type pattern. http://www.newlifetyresonline.com/ Deliv...

At this time of year I'd go for 10/40 mineral or semi-synthetic. 20/50 mineral can be a bit slow to get up to pressure on cold winter mornings. You might want to consider a full coolant change, at the very least you'll need to make sure the anti-freeze level is good. Check the throttle valve/flap is...
