NEVER poke under a disco.
never ever poke underneath a discovery if you see a flaky bit of dry waxoil      day started lovely! Went to dewsbury4x4 who put some heat on the front calliper bolts that were totally stuck in preventing me from doing that wheel bearing. Both came out fine with a bit o...

Nick I'm lifting mine. I've still got the old standard springs, all de-rusted and painted up, if you want them. Cheers Mark oh, that would be lovely - thank you very much. are you going to briercliffe? If so could i pinch them off you then? As for why i;m going back to standard height... i just don...

kingson, isnt the 12v feed from the existing loom part and parcel of the ECU loom for the electronic pump? If so, are you absolutely sure its getting 12v with the ignition on? I just have a feeling it may be getting itself confused as it is missing some vital components and not switching the solenoi...

for simplicities sake you cannot get much simpler than a tdi - 200 or 300, they;re both very very simillar. mechanical fuel pump, mechanical injection pump, mechanical everything. The only thing preventing you starting the engine and then taking the battery off and having the engine still happily ru...

Under the floor is 2 large plates with mounting plates on the top that weld to the large crossmember the rear A frame attaches too. simillar to this one the one ...

blahblahblah - love hate love hate   Nick I guess the posts reflect the Love/Hate relationships one has with one's Land Rovers... Bit confusing though for Richard - same person, two opposing recommendations! :D i know, i know. Time to quantify A 90 is a brilliant trialler 'out of the box...

wouldnt it be simpler to just fit a couple of swivel recovery eyes to the front bumper instead? these ones even come with the bow shackles. http://www.firstfour.co.uk/recovery-points/stainless-steel-tested-swivel-recovery-eye-707156-191385-363808.php http://www.firstfour.co.uk/images/www.firstfour.c...

why a 90? no way i'd buy another, its just too bloody impractical. Ergonomics? I dont think they had ever heard of that word when they designed the 90. overpriced, definitely. As a practical vehicle the disco gets a big thumbs up, but they are quite flawed in the fact they rust to nothing and have a...

have a chat with a couple of the chaps on the difflock suzuki page that own modded jimnys. they'll tell you a lifted mud tyred 1.3 jimny also struggles to get over 60mpg and return 15-20mpg. bonkers i know, small and light - but the little engine has to be caned to keep it at any decent speed. You c...

 at Bo new liners for my stupid SIP welder are a few quid more than that as they use a plastic liner. So not only is it dearer, its rubbish too. If i had known what bad reviews SIPs get on on various forums i wouldnt have bought it, no wonder it was cheap. curtain wire is about 50p from the mar...

Nick, you cant just slot the r380 from a disco into your 90 - or the gearstick will be where your tranny tunnel meets the seat box. However you can swap over the lever and gubbins on the top of the box with the one from your defender box. Bit of hassle setting it all up so all the gates work and you...

Its amazing the difference a new good quality liner makes to the weld if the old one is worn, I would be tempted to change that as well if your doing the rest. thats the next job i need to do on my welder when i need it next - supposedly net curtain wire is an extremely good wire feed liner and cut...
