Steering Damper
Contrary to my original thoughts, when I've come to re-fit my steering damper it seems it's knackered - quite a bit of free play. Now I know that some people advocate running without a damper, but I would be grateful for fellow club members views on the topic. Also, would you recommend fitting any o...

Right angle or not?
Question for you technical wizzes out there regarding front axle angle. As you can see from the photo's below, now that I've got the front suspension fitted, the axle is 'tilted' forward significantly. First picture shows the spring actually bending due to the angle and the second picture shows the ...

Progress - Sun 7th Nov
Managed to get the rear suspension just about fitted, although still not tightened up. Remembered to try the axle articulation on full compression before fitting the springs to make sure the extended bump-stops made contact with the axle before the shockers bottomed out. Small problem that the new b...

Finally..............
Went to collect my shiny new chassis today - looks great. Glad I got them to put the North Offroad rear winch crossmember on before it got galvanised. Got it lifted onto blocks and axles rolled underneath it ready for the big rebuild. Took a couple of pics which I'll post tomorrow. Happy days :D :D ...

P38 Alloys
Just watching some RR P38 alloys on Fleabay - are the stud holes the same pattern/measurement as a Defender, ie. will they fit a Defender?
Cheers

Dave(s) I was thinking about roll cages the other week and the relative merits of blue band and CDS tube. I guess if I was building a comp safari racer or something like, I guess you're better off with CDS but presumably for the sort of stuff we do you're more likely to want to protect against a low...
