RRC Transfer box front output bearing replacement question
My RRC Transfer box front output bearing and oil seal need replacing - I reckon the job is easy-peasy: Tell me if I am wrong please! 1. drain TB oil 2. remove front prop 3. in gear and remove prop-flange 4. remove 8 bolts and VC housing complete with VC 5. pry out oil-seal and remove bearing retenti...

Roger........DO NOT pack up grease in the swash plate area of a Denso compressor. I DID and the grease blocked the pressure relief valve, causing back pressure and burst the pipe. From the compressor output, the pipe connects to a pressure relief valve, then to the filter and snap coupling. The pip...

Hi Kinson, The compressor I have is the standard Denso one for a 95 v8 and - although my plan is to lube it with grease like it says in one or two postings in a well known other place, I haven't yet done so. In fact I don't recall there being a plug anyway... So my alternatives are: One chap mention...

The aircon switch is a none starter anyway, you're after sustained high tickover not a 1 second pulse, which is all the aircon/drive wire gives you when it changes state. I wonder if the 1500 RPM limit is caused because you don't have enough pulses ? If you're tickover is at 750 then the ECU will t...

Extra idle can also be gained for extra load if I rember rightly by changing the wiring over to the automatic setup Sounds like a simpler way of doing it Bob - I will investigate. I was ill this weekend so didn't get a change to implement my diodes idea anyway. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks...

NO :? Cheers Nick    Well I am looking to put the tank and control systems from my little garage compressor, into the back of the RRC where it will be filled using the aircon pump on the engine. I have read that at 1500rpm the things can shift enough air to blow up tyres in a matter ...

Hi Dave, Here is a video which I believe is showing the 14CUX doing closed loop throttle control using the air bypass valve. I pulled away and then - with my foot off the throttle I eased on the brakes until I was braking reasonably hard (considering) and then - still with no throttle - I put the cl...

14cux questions
For those that don't know, I have a 3.9v8 with single point LPG and megajolt, and the way it is set up, the ECU still has control of the air bypass valve and hence maintains a stable tickover by winding it in and out even when on gas. This does work quite noticeably. The ECU (a 14cux) knows what the...
