Leeds City Council - Dog Control Consultation

Postby ksykes » Thu Jun 10, 2010 1:49 pm

For those of you that are dog owners and live in the Leeds area you may be interested in participating in the current survey being undertaken by LCC. Follow the link:

http://www.leeds.gov.uk/Community_and_l ... cheme.aspx

It relates to dog walking in Leeds and explains the Council's proposed restrictions. Personally I don't have a problem with sensible dog walking controls providing that it does not prejudice the responsible dog owner. I have had cause to complain to the Dog Warden recently about a commercial dog walker who was walking 11 dogs! Yes 11 dogs. That is completely ridiculous and was unsafe for the dogs she was walking, because she did not have any control over them, and unsafe for other dog walkers and general public. If you are a dog owner you should complete the survey (it only takes a few minutes) to register your views.
