fuel injectors
fuel injectors
Now follow the plot!
Car cuts out and no fuel going to injectors (300TDi)
Found 20A fuse blown labelled fuel injectors. Book says "to engine load control relay" replaced relay but it's even blowing 30A fuse mine is the one with the electronic box
I assume it is a loose wire going to earth but the book doesnt show where the wires go after the electronic thingy.
Any ideas??
No fun with snow and a naffed motor!

I am now an expert at dodgy wiring
I am now an expert at dodgy wiring, after the bodge job I found at the rear.
It seems the cig lighter and internal lights had failed when I came to pump up my tyres.
1. Look for any wiring that has insulation tape on it (mine revealed 2 wires just twisted together, and then a badly crimped earth)
2. Any additinal wiring that was not there originaly
3. chaffing or wiring looms melted onto the exhuast

Dave, as you know I had just ditched the electronic box and went for mechanical......frankly, was wondered why I waited so long to do this swap. The disco performs better now, tho a little more on fuel, but being an auto, won't complain.
Got rid of the EDC injectors for 140 quid, which by itself is sufficient to pay for the mechanical injection pump & standard injectors. The rest are easy. Give me a shout if you wanna do this. Or alternatively, bring to Matthew, and he will sort it out for you.
