what's the best way of protecting the underneath of the tub from corrosion? I'm ok with the steel parts but what about the alumimium panels?

Mark, there is no real need any special protection to the aluminium of the tub, aluminium only corrodes where it touches steel and you get electrolysis.
5/4 of people admit that they’re bad with fractions.
