I am planning to fit a Raptor Engineering dash pod into my modified 11A (has 200TDI engine) fitting a CD, CB, toggle switches (for future fitment of lights etc), a Carling hazard switch (just because I like them) and have space for three gauges.
The question is, which three gauges will serve me best? I basically do trials and a few green lanes.
I was looking at a volt meter, oil pressure and possible turbo pressure. However I have been advised that it may be better to forget the turbo gauge and go for an oil temperature gauge as well as oil pressure.
Advice would be appreciated before I look to buy next week
Also does anyone know where I could get the white dial gauges from?
I am also looking for the land rover dash clock.
Thank you. Happy New Year
Adrian

Thank you for the advice. Mark, when you installed your Raptor Pod did you encounter any problems, or have you got any advice to make the fitting smoother? Adrian You never stop learning!

Honestly it's a piece of cake. The cut-out template comes with it and it's dead easy to fix - just two bolts. The hardest andfiddlyest bit is getting the extra wires fed behind the dash and into the pod. In the end I made a hole in the bulkhead to pass the main extra wires through (with a grommet for waterprofing. Give me a buzz if you've any probs. Cheers Mark

Thanks' for your guidance on the gauges. After reading everyone's advice, I went for volt meter, oil pressure and a clock as suggested. Mark, as you said the Raptor Pod was a piece of cake to fit, very simple and straight forward. Just sorting out the wiring etc Adrian You never stop learning!
