Is fuel pump up to the job?

Hi all , just wondering if the fuel pump on Orange rover ( v8 ) is upto the job of powering my engine conversion 2.8 diahatsu turbo diesel. or will i have to buy another pump. or is it a case of just give it a go n see.
just thought i'd ask and see if anyone knew.

doesnt the die-hat-poo have a mechanical fuel pump like the tdi?????

Martin , it shouldn't be a problem on volume but I'd check what pressure the Die Hat Poo injection pump needs as you'll have about 4>4.5 psi from the RR carb pump but loads of LPM.
