Tow Bar electrics

Postby Bo » Mon Mar 04, 2013 7:04 pm

I need to fit a tow bar to the Freeloader (2011) so Chelsea can do her trailer test, towbar is very reasonable at around £100 for Witter but main stealer prices for electrics kit are a bit steep @ £300 plus £55 to turn it on and that is if I fit it myself. Britpart is £200 plus switch on fee. Has anyone had any experience with the bypass relays or do you know if I could use a Snapon Ethos to activate LR kit?

I fitted a bypass relay to my insignia for the same reason and it works well. Only time a bypass is no good is when you have parking sensors in the bumper because it cannot disable them.

Thanks Jim, I had not considered the reversing sensors, good point.
