Tecnick's new Ninety

Postby tecnick » Mon Apr 26, 2010 8:37 pm

Just picked up the new motor from Sheffield (thanks to Nigel for taking me down). Its quite an old bus, 1990 on an H. It has however got a galv chassis (dipped original as it turns out) and a 300tdi with R380 box. So a little moderised.

It is going to need a good servicing and some tarting up. It looks a complete dog with a bend on every panel. The paint was applied by a bloke standing on the street corner whilst the motor drove by slowly. Maybe this will put off the 'bugger-lers'

Off road gear will be added in the future when funds allow.

More info when something interesting happens

Cheers Nick
If it ain't broke, I'd be bloody suprised.

go on Nick, chuck the ebay link up so we can have a gander.
Suppose that means you can swap some of the stuff from your disco on to it - like tyres and stuff.

as for the bugger-lers, you could always buy one of these
anti scrote device
wont stop them knicking it with a hiab, but should deter the joy riding fraternity.
Bugger!
Another bloody dent...

its an almost flat plate you muppet, that locks over the whole footwell so the little bugger-lers cant put their tiny ASBO feet on the pedals. Once off it can lie flat in the back or slide behind the drivers seat.

visual deterents are always more effective than an immobiliser, like the thatcham approved immobiliser thats in my 90. Started doing wierd things like immobilising the engine whilst on the motorway and setting the alarm off for no reason. Eventually i went out one morning and it just wouldnt turn off and let me start the car. Jammed a pair of long nose pliars into the master key switch on the box under the bonnet and yanked the keylock round 90deg and its never bothered me again.
wow, effective......

I have have three immobilisers now, the type you touch a little thing with a wozit, no trouble with them at all.

Re colour, someone suggested 'The pinky' was a good motor, did I get it wrong? Surely they didnt mean that series stuff Graeme seems to like.

Cant be ars.... bothered to put photos up as have just turned my ankle. Ebay no 190319038549 if anyone is interested/its still available to view.
