Getting there .................

Postby varleym » Sun Feb 27, 2011 6:55 pm

Spent the morning rubbing down and the afternoon painting. Although it's only primer at least it's all the same colour now. Took the doors off to paint separately, hopefully get them primed tomorrow night and then it's on with the colour.

Cheers

Mark

Nope - used a roller, very happy with the results.

Postby varleym » Fri Mar 11, 2011 9:15 am

Got doors fitted last night, plus cage front hoop and tree sliders. Gonna concentrate on getting the lights and other electrics sorted this weekend.

Ready for MOT

Postby varleym » Sun Mar 20, 2011 8:45 pm

Yes, the day has finally arrived when I'm ready for the MOT. Finished sorting the lights this weekend, only one not working is the reversing light and it looks like it's the switch that screws into the the gearbox that's faulty but I don't believe then reversing light is part of the MOT (unless someone knows otherwise).

Only job I need to do is bleed the brakes again as the pedal's a bit soft still.

Few cosmetic odds & sods to finish off (chequer plate around the cage & exhaust exit, new lock mechanism for rear door) but should have it on the road by the end of the week which will give me a chance to get a few miles in before the trial to shake down any problems.

Roll on Brotherton.

Cheers

Mark

PS - I'll post some more piccies next week.

If you turn ignition on and stick a split pin in the 2 terminals to your switch the light should come on,if not ya need to be looking elsewhere, but they are not a fail on the test anyway.....GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!

reverse switch

Postby varleym » Mon Mar 21, 2011 10:02 am

Phil

Yea, that's how I tested it. Ordered one from your digital girlfriend last night, only £4.85 - think that's the cheapest new part I've bought during the whole re-build !

Cheers
