Event Entry Fees

Postby davew » Mon Aug 11, 2008 8:00 pm

After some discussion we have decided we are going to have to increase our base entry fees to bring them inline with the increased land and MSA fees.

We have kept the entry fees at the same level since the club started and slowly but surely the portion that the club receives has got smaller and smaller as we've absorbed the costs of running the event. This has meant that more and more of our events are running at a slight loss.

We have left the "on the day" standard fee at £20 and reduced the pre-booking discount from £8 to £5. effectively this means that, for most people the entry fee has gone up to £15

Obviously we'll continue to monitor the fee as, at the end of the day, we aim to make a slight profit or break even at all the events we hold.

i dont think anyone can complain at paying an extra £3 for a full days entertainment in any motorsport.

i'm still waiting for a replacement reversing light since greenhow last year - cos someone winched me into a post........

but then again, this certain persons winch did fall to bits later on pulling me out of a hole - so i aint going to hassle him too much for it.

Whilst I have not attended many RTV's in last couple of years I have no objection to the prebooked fee being raised from £12 to £15.

What about increasing the onday fee to £22-£25?

Apologies if that has been fully discussed at monthly meeting but I can not see why it could not be raised as well.

After all it is still cheap days sport!

Regards

Brendan
