The Terafirma +5"'s that I have on the Disco are a good balance between quality and cost.

So am I correct to think that in order to exploit +5 shocks you would also need +2" turrets and rear mounts, along with dislocation cones? Maybe +2" springs too?

BTW - you might be interested in these

You are correct Roger, to get the best out of the shocks you need to use challenge mounts on the rear and +2" turrets on the front. You also must fit extended brake lines.

I've got the same as Bo (+5 Terrafirma's) and they work really well.

I've got standard length shocks all round , used to be al bilstien but as I've eventually (some of them are about 15 years old and have been on 4 motors) killed a few it's a mixture of what I've got kicking about, bilstien, decarbon and lovels (the lovels are the worst on the back).

Billys are sooo expensive though. for me its the difference between getting all the stuff I need now within budget now, even if stuff breaks, as the purse fills up again next year. False economy? maybe but what can you do?

I recon its going to be 4xprocomp +2" and maybe change to the bearmach blue springs in garage.

Cheers Nick
If it ain't broke, I'd be bloody suprised.

i dont think i'll go with procomps again, ok my set lasted 6 years before they spilt their guts out - but they are pretty soft and weak dampers.

currently got a set of decarbons +2 and they are much better for only a couple of quid more per shock.
Bugger!
Another bloody dent...

For once I concur with Nick as imo decarbons are waaaayyyy better than procomps (they seem to be getting poorer quality as time goes by)
