Good weather, great scenery, Land Rovers (not to forget a Lada and a Daihatsu) and a large number of members both old and new... what more could you ask for !
The weather held out all weekend with (mostly) clear blue skies. On Saturday, following a flurry of activity with maps, compasses and hi-lite pens, 5 groups set out in different directions to explore the lanes in the area. On Sunday, 26 competitors took part in a days trialling with a large number of new faces making a welcome appearance and the number of marshals allowing a full 12 sections to be run. For the first time we also welcolmed members of NERO to one of our events. Trials results are shown below, pictures from the green laning and trials are available here. As ever, thanks have to go to the Clerk of Course for the trial, Tom Perrin and those that helped by setting out and/or marshalling the event, without their hard work the event wouldn't be able to take place.
I'd like to add a review of the event here... perhaps someone who attended (preferably for the whole weekend) would like to put pen to paper (finger to keyboard) and email it to info@yorkshireoffroadclub.net
