Originally this was planned to be a single day
trial at this popular site. As the date drew nearer, though,
several members expressed an interest in camping again so it
gradually turned into a weekend long event. A number of brave
souls braved the cold and camped on Friday and/or Saturday night
with the temperature on Saturday night putting the "four
season" sleeping bags to the test !
Sunday's trial was set out by Ian
Campbell (Clerk of Course), ably assisted by Tom Zimmerman and
Matthew Sykes. With over 30 entries it was a tall order to set
a trial suitable for the variety of entries but the resulting
trial was a credit to those that set out. Thanks go to Ian and
his team for setting the trial out and also to those who marshalled
on the Sunday.
