Outback Challenge - Shipping
The big day finally arrives....

A rose between two thorns ! The three vehicles lined up prior to
loading.

Neil's Ibex is first into the container.

As each vehicle is loaded, wooden planks were used
to build a cradle around the wheels to supplement the
straps that would hold the vehicles in place.

My Defender, or, "the buffer" as the two Ibex owners
kept calling it for some reason...

With the spot lights in their upright position
it was too tall so they had to be folded down before it
would fit. It's a good job I designed the lighting
bar so it would fold the lights over the back of the
cab.

They fit ! (well, after we'd removed Andy's spare
wheel they did !) Andy Hogg's Ibex squeezes in.

The vehicles are chocked and strapped and final
checks are made to ensure the battery isolators are
off.

One final photo shoot - we must remember to put
Andy's spare wheel in... from left to right - Andy
Hogg, Neil Redpath, Patrick Smart and Dave White.
For the benefit of anyone else who decides to ship
3 100 inch wheelbase vehicles in a 40 foot container,
you need to leave approximately 6 inches between
each vehicle in order to close the doors afterwards.
Good job I didn't build a 110 !
