Fitting Superpro bushes - where to grease?

Postby Jabba » Sat Mar 31, 2012 4:45 pm

Just got some Superpro bushes for the panhard rod on my 90 as the ordinary bushes have worn PDQ.
There is a thing of grease in the kit and Superpro say to grease the bushes - but not where to put it.

Does it go between the metal tube and the poly bush?

Cheers, Dave

Dave

Grease wherever the rubber touches metal, primarily when you're pushing them into place.

Cheers

Thanks Mark.

Found a good way to get the old bush out. Cut and filed a piece of old bike handle bar to size as it fits over the inner tube but inside the outer. A sharpened edge on one end, plenty of WD40 and hey-presto it pushes through cutting the rubber. No more burning.
