300Tdi oil.

Postby repton » Thu Jun 13, 2013 4:28 pm

What grade oil would people suggest I put in my 300Tdi? the manual seems to give me a variety of options depending on the temperature but there is a huge overlap in the middle so almost all of the options seem to be available in the UK climate.

TIA,
Paul

10/40 semi synthetic is what I put in mine and all my customers , if you've got a local Millers stockist use the 10/40 semi Trident , very good and very reasonably priced , oh and you need about 7.5l.

Thanks Matthew. I'm only topping it up at the moment as it has allegedly had a recent change. I can use the stuff I have for topping up the Saab then which makes life easy for now (the Saab uses that much of it these days I always have some handy...)

I assume this is the stuff you recommend? I'll start buying that if I can find somewhere that stocks it.

Edited to add: If I can't find a local stockist I've found it on eBay ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150348184158 ) at a price which is cheaper including delivery for 5 litres than I am currently paying for 4 litres of Castrol GTX locally...

Paul
