Painting wheel arches

Postby Jabba » Fri Sep 13, 2013 7:31 pm

Has anyone painted the standard defender wheel arch eyebrows?
I've got blue ones at the moment but I'm thinking of painting them black rather than replacing them. Any ideas if I need plastic primer, adhesion primer or plasticiser in the paint?

Cheers, Dave

From my experience with painting plastic bumpers you will need a plastic primer and then a plasticiser added to the paint. I was working with 2 pack paint which is a more durable than enamel or cellulose.

Thanks for the replies. I'm still considering whether or not to do this.
